We just moved from central San Diego near SDSU to Valley Center this weekend and searching Yelp for a good Chinese restaurant and Panda Garden was listed in Escondido.
My sis and I ate there last night and was very happy with everything ordered.
I had crispy rice soup and sis had hot and sour soup, both were so yummy, I love the fragrance of the crispy rice with snow peas, bamboo and water chestnuts.
Sis ordered sweet and sour pork which I don't really like until I tried theirs and oh my god it's delicious, not too sweet and the pork is crispy. We also had their delicious stir fried bean spouts with green onions. I had the mapo tofu which I loved.

We'll be back in a couple of days, so many items on their menu I want to try :-)

I, as many yelpers, have struggled to find good Chinese in North County San Diego.  Panda Garden is the perfect mix of the comforting tastes I remember as well as freshness.  I don't understand how Chins can have the same ranking, their food is literally inedible.  I have only been for take out but I highly recommend the food.

My husband and I have been looking for a good Chinese Restaurant since we moved here 13 years ago.  This place is it.  The food and service are fantastic.  The restaurant is very clean even the restrooms.
I had Sweet and Sour Chicken and my husband had the Garlic Chicken.  The meals were both excellent and the Sweet and Sour had white meat which is a real plus.
I am very anxious to go back and try more of the different foods they offer.

Went here for the first time with some coworkers for lunch: it's a good time to go for their lunch specials. They have about 27 items to choose from under $10 with rice, soup and an egg roll. I decided to order the House Family: it was a mix of chicken, beef, (I think pork?) and vegetables. It was pretty good but it was doused in sauce which is not my preference but it was tolerable. The old lady knew regular customers and was kind to new ones like me. Their service was fast and they were attentive. The environment was cool and relaxed with nice details by pandas (it really was a panda garden lol). I would come here again for some good, fast and inexpensive food.

I went to Panda Garden for lunch with a friend because they have really well priced lunch specials. Parking is abundant, and we were seated rather quickly once inside the restaurant. Lunch is definitely a good time to go!

Our waitress started by taking out drink orders and serving us wonton chips (yummy!). I ended up ordering the Singapore Style Rice Noodles. The food came out pretty fast and the presentation of the food was good. However, my rice noodles were lacking flavor and were a bit dry. I had to drink a lot of water to keep eating my food. The meat was cooked very well though, I really loved the shrimp!

After the food was finished, I ended up waiting too long for the check to come. My friend was on lunch so this posed a problem, she was nearly late to work. We had to flag down our waitress to tell her we needed the check, even though we had sat there not eating for about 10 minutes. If the restaurant was crowded I would understand, but it was fairly empty.

I'm giving a 3/5 because of the unseasoned meal and the long wait for service. However, I do hear many good reviews so I would give Panda Garden another try. Maybe ordering something else will give my rating a boost!
